The Intersection of HIV and SUD Webinar: January Session 4

January 31 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Enhancing the Care Continuum with Evidence-Based Practices, a four-part webinar series

In partnership with the MN Department of Human Services, Health Management Associates invites you to register and join us for a no-cost four-part webinar series, The Intersection of HIV and SUD: Enhancing the Care Continuum with Evidence-Based Practices.

Substance use disorder is frequently diagnosed among people with HIV and increases risk for acquiring HIV infection. Each year approximately 300 people are diagnosed with HIV in Minnesota. Individuals with substance use challenges face many social barriers including misperceptions, judgment, and stigma. These experiences can also occur in the process of seeking treatment including access to culturally responsive services. It is the aim of these presentations to provide community members, social workers, counselors, clinicians, and administrators with enhanced awareness, knowledge, and skills toward the elimination of health inequities and improved patient experience of care.

Session 4 Topics

  • Cultural, Racial, and Sexual Identities
  • HIV Positivity, Pregnancy, and SUD
  • Accessing, Obtaining, and Integrating Services for Individuals with HIV and SUD in Minnesota

Register to attend here.
