Community Engagement

Voices of Health Survey

Voices of Health is the largest survey of LGBTQ+ Minnesotans to identify our unique needs in the healthcare system. Review snapshots of key information or read the full reports for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2021.

Aging Initiative

Rainbow Health envisions a community that fully supports its older adults, including LGBTQ+ elders and those aging with HIV, with a range of services, supports, and policies that allow them to age with dignity, independence, and access to the quality care they seek and deserve.

LGBTQ+ Legal Advocacy and Services

Rainbow Health’s Legal Services team provides legal advice, brief services, and direct representation for those facing healthcare discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

MNSure Navigators

The MNsure Navigation program is to help community members with health insurance questions and signing up for public services. Our staff members are prepared to answer and assist you for free.

Syringe Services Program

Rainbow Health offers an injection drug outreach program, called MAINLINE, that reduces the risk of getting HIV. We provide access to unused syringes, education, and HIV prevention and care services. Our syringe exchange program is the largest in the state. Each month, we distribute and collect approximately 20,000 syringes.

Assistance

Rainbow Health connects people living with HIV to helpful resources.  These programs provide assistance for common concerns including transportation, emergency financial help, housing, and emotional support. Our programs serve as a gateway to appropriate longer-term supportive services and provide information and support for people living with HIV.
