Statement on Trans Student Attacked at Hopkins High School

As Rainbow Health, we believe that hateful, violent attacks against Transgender people are why Transgender and Queer youth are in a mental health crisis. Anti-Transgender violence not only shatters the lives of those directly targeted but also erodes the very fabric of our community by denying dignity and safety to all who strive to live authentically. We must all do better to defend and protect the Transgender people in our lives and around us. We demand that the Hopkins School District and local law enforcement fully investigate this violent attack and hold accountable those responsible for this hateful violence.
