- Sabathani Community Center is one of Minnesota’s oldest African American-founded nonprofits. We annually help more than 32,000 South Minneapolis residents tackle barriers in their lives and move from surviving to thriving. As a multi-service organization, we deliver a comprehensive range of community-oriented, culturally tailored services and programming in an environment of dignity and respect.Services include:
- Food Distribution Center – an emergency food security resource for the community
- Clothing Closet – an affordable option to access clothing and household goods
- Senior Activities – a complete program of social, recreational, and educational for seniors, including a robust and active Senior Program
- Sabathani Senior Housing – 48-unit senior apartment building exclusively for individuals aged 55 and older who meet specific income guidelines
- Workforce Strategies – preparing participants for employment in livable-wage jobs
