The Minnesota Transgender Health Coalition is committed to improving health care access and the quality of health care received by trans and gender non-conforming people through education, resources, and advocacy. We are trans and allied community organizers and health care providers working to improve the health care experiences of transgender, transsexual, intersex, Two Spirit, genderqueer, and other gender non-conforming people living in Minnesota.
Programs include:
- Hormone shot clinic/syringe exchange. The syringe exchange is open to anyone who is an Injection Drug User (IDU) regardless of gender or drug of choice. You do NOT have to be trans identified to use the exchange.
- Free HIV Testing; confidential Hepatitis C testing and counseling /education/referrals to case management for help with housing, health insurance, employment, and/or medical care
- Support groups
- Professional trainings on transgender basics and trans-specific health concerns to health care professionals, clinic staff, and students in Minnesota
