Hunger Solutions Minnesota works to end hunger in our state. We take action to assure food security for all Minnesotans by supporting programs and agencies that provide food to those in need, advancing sound public policy, building grassroots advocacy, and informing and educating critical stakeholders about the status of hunger in Minnesota.

Minnesota Food HelpLine – With one call the Minnesota Food HelpLine assesses the caller’s situation and provides solutions to their food needs. Call the Minnesota Food HelpLine to see if you qualify for SNAP (formerly known as Food Stamps) or to learn more about food shelves, free meals, farmers’ markets, or other resources in your area. Have general questions? Food Shelf Capacity – As a membership organization representing over 250 food shelves statewide, Hunger Solutions works to ensure food shelves in Minnesota have the resources, equipment, and support they need to keep their shelves stocked and lights on. Hunger Solutions distributes yearly grants to food shelves and offers emergency and equipment grant funding to help food shelves recover from natural disasters, broken equipment or respond to a dramatic rise in community need.
