Mike Grewatz

Hello! My name is Mike Grewatz (They/Them/Theirs), and I am an intern here at Rainbow Health. I am currently enrolled in the University of Minnesota working towards my Master’s of Social Work (MSW) degree and specializing in clinical mental health. I have a background in single-adult shelter services and housing case management, and medical case management for folx living with HIV.

I have a passion in working with other queer-identifying individuals overcome interpersonal and structural barriers associated with their identities. I am also passionate about working with folx with a history of adverse childhood experiences, trauma, depression and anxiety.

My approach would be best described as person-centered, trauma-informed, and decolonizing. I offer talk therapy for people looking to understand their struggles from a structural lens focusing on the roots of their oppression, and work with folx to develop coping skills and self-awareness, process traumatic experiences, and work towards personal development.
